Front of House Receptionist

We are Scotland's largest independent training and conference venue based in the heart of Edinburgh. Our friendly, professional and dedicated team host up to 16 different events each day for a wide variety of clients. Ensuring our customer's are delighted is key to our success and we are looking for someone like you to join our team.
Main purpose of the role:
Setting up and replenishing coffee stations.
Meet and greet leaders and delegates so they feel welcome and properly briefed
Provide support to leaders and delegates to ensure the smooth running of their events, this can include photocopying, booking taxis and chasing deliveries.
Answer incoming telephone calls in a warm and friendly manner either responding personally or connecting them to the right person .
Laying out and clearing buffets.
Hosting client's in our restaurant.
Accurately enter contact and event data into our booking system (we’ll train you how to use it).
Supporting the sales team with administration tasks as required.
This role will give you the opportunity to develop and grow. As you gain both knowledge and experience you will have the opportunity to work closely with all our clients to make sure their events run well on the day.
Hours of work are generally 7:30 am- 4.00pm Monday to Friday.
Our ideal candidate will be a team player with experience. You’ll enjoy a challenge, multi-tasking in a busy environment, variety in your job and most importantly enjoy delighting customers. Basic IT skills are essential, as is the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.
