Description
1996 Honda St1100 Pan European black, MOT sept 2017, just passed this week. 61k excellent engine, recent front and rear brake overhaul, new seat cover, heated grips, rear tyre new August, front tyre new July. Fully serviced in April (major service inc oil and filter, air filter, spark plugs, shaft oil, drain/replaced coolant, rear brake pads, ignition relay, front wheel bearings, new end cans Delkevic). No leaks, swing arm fine, down pipes fine, end cans new, alternator charging fine as had it checked, (the pre 95 bikes had the problem alternator) the new Delkevic end cans and connector pipes fitted April make it sound like a real bike i still have the removable baffles if you want to re-fit them. Fitted a black gloss top box recently and a 12v charger but photo taken before these were fitted. It looks great from 5 yards but does have numerous bumps and scrapes so I would describe as average to good cosmetically. Still as I say looks great from 5 yards and black is always a winner! Rides great. I have ridden Berriedale to Norfolk and back twice this year thats 629 miles in one hit, three stops for petrol and no issues whatsoever. I took it from Berriedale through England to Harwich got ferry to Netherlands then rode down through Netherlands, across Belgium, through France and Spain to Alicante, then returned, that was 3200 miles in August in two weeks AND AGAIN DID NOT MISS A BEAT despite torrential rain for hours then 38 degrees for days. It has just had minor service and MOT, new footrest rubbers and new sidestand cut out safety switch so it is ready for the next 61k. Mechanically this bike is excellent i have spent lots to keep it that way and as you can tell by my european tour this August i have absolute faith in this bike. These are good for over 200,000 miles if cared for so mileage not high for one of these. I am thinking of a change as wife got a ZZR600 and been on it a few times and like it, maybe life in this old dog yet, me not the bike. Any questions please ask, test ride fine as long as i have full asking price in my hand, you bend it you've bought it though. I am asking good money but have probably spent a £1000 on it getting it mechanically spot on. Not too fussed if i have to keep it as pans are excellent, this is my third and nothing wrong with it at all.
