We are looking for volunteer bread-makers to teach a group to make different kinds of bread. We have a range of different people that attend the project such as the homeless, individuals with learning difficulties, people struggling with alcohol and drug abuse. Experience of working with vulnerable adults not essential, but an open mind, non judgmental attitude, patience and a degree of confidence is essential. This really is a lovely and rewarding opportunity for the right person. We are based in the Grassmarket in Edinburgh. This opportunity will happen on a Wednesday afternoon from 2-4.30. Leaders will get a free lunch, will need to be PVG'd (paid for by the project and will need to complete induction/registration and a short session training workshop. Ideal opportunity for IT/Comm Ed/Social Work/Social Sciences Students/retirees. We will be looking for commitment for 3-6 months. We will ask for one reference.
