This 21.5-Inch Aluminium iMac (Mid-2010) is powered by a 3.06 GHz Intel Core i3 processor. In lieu of a system bus, it has a Direct Media Interface (DMI) that connects between the processor and chipset at 2.5 GT/s.

It is configured with 8 GB of RAM (4x 2GB DDR3 SDRAM), a 500 GB (7200 RPM) hard drive, a vertically-mounted slot-loading DVD±R DL SuperDrive, and ATI Radeon HD 4670 graphics with dedicated memory.

It also has a built-in iSight video camera and built-in stereo speakers underneath the 21.5" glossy 16:9 LED-backlit TFT Active Matrix LCD (1920x1080 native) display with IPS technology.

Connectivity includes four USB 2.0 ports, a Firewire 800 port, built-in AirPort Extreme wifi, and Gigabit Ethernet, as well as an audio capable Mini DisplayPort, which supports an external display at up to 2560x1600.

Externally, the Mid-2010 iMac line uses the same edge-to-edge glass design and seamless all aluminum enclosure as the Late 2009 models that it replaced. Internally, however, the Mid-2010 line is equipped with faster processors, faster graphics processors, and faster memory, as well as support for the SDXC SD card format.

It comes with a compact aluminum Apple Wireless Keyboard and a multi-touch Apple Magic Trackpad that enables users to scroll smoothly with inertial scrolling, pinch to zoom in and out, rotate an image with their fingertips and swipe three fingers to flip through a collection of web pages or photos, and other gestures just like on Apple MacBooks, with the advantage of being larger than on MacBooks.
