Part Time Maintenance Worker Required in Haslemere, Surrey:

We are looking for a Maintenance Person for our Nursing Home in Haslemere, Brownscombe House.

You will take responsibility for the maintenance of the building and equipment, keeping it in a good state of repair, maintain/or arrange for statutory checks and P.A.T. testing as per the regulatory requirements, in line with the current legislation and following Health & Safety, Security and Fire Safety Guidelines. Full driving licence essential.

Your main duties will include:

• Fire alarm testing and recording.
• Call bell unit checks and recording.
• Fire extinguisher checks.
• Painting and decorating where required.
• Read maintenance book each day on arrival and carry out urgent jobs immediately.
• To undertake repairs if within your competency otherwise arrange for these through the Company’s Estate Manager
• Report accidents, injuries, dangerous occurrences, near misses, hazards and risks to your manager/person-in-charge whose responsibility it is to act upon such information to reduce the risk of accidents/incidents.
• To ensure adherence to Health and Safety guidelines and maintain safe environments and working practices.

Successful Applicant will be subject to references and an enhanced DBS disclosure. You will also be enrolled on the “Simply Health” scheme on successful completion of probation.

Salary: From £9.00/hour
Part Time Hours Available.
